why hot yoga?
Turn up the heat and tune in to yourself.
There's something special about practising yoga in the heat. As your body warms up, movement can feel easier, helping you explore your flexibility while building strength, balance and stamina. It's a challenging, low-impact workout that gets your heart pumping and leaves you feeling like you've really achieved something.
But the benefits aren't just physical. The heat demands your attention, bringing your focus back to your breathing, your body and the present moment. It's surprisingly good at quietening a busy mind. For studio founder Anna Leckey, that's the magic of hot yoga — a chance to switch off from everything else, challenge yourself and emerge feeling both energised and wonderfully calm.
New to hot yoga? Don't worry. You can take things at your own pace, rest whenever you need to and build your confidence with every class.

Your teachers are pretty experienced and haven’t seen anyone miraculously burst into flames so far on their hot yoga journey… so we don’t think this is going to happen to you.
We will always encourage you to stay in the room, as the sense of achievement you get of pushing through when things get hard is the best thing ever, and that final savasana when the cool air breezes in and the teacher places a cold towel beside you makes it all worth it. If the class gets hard, do less, less moving, less postures, sit or lie down and see if that feeling passes.
Of course we can not force you and won’t block the door (it doesn’t go with the relaxing vibes)- so if you need to leave (and its that or throw your water bottle at the teacher) we will honour that. Rather than leaving through the front door, the kitchen is a cooler spot so you Just sit outside the window so the teacher can keep an eye on you, sit there for a few minutes and join back in when you can.
